Crochet Drawstring Pouch




With some yarns with me, I thought what to crochet and an idea sprang. Why not try this easiest drawstring pouch.
It can be a perfect idea for gifting and is very easy to make. It took me around two hours at a stretch to make it. But it all depends on your crocheting speed and how much time you can sit at a stretch. I have two little kids to disturb me time and again.
You can read the pattern below.

Abbreviations:

ch: chain
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double crochet
sk: skip
sl st: slip stitch
Rnd: round

Pattern:

Make 4 chains with color A and join into the first chain with a sl st.
Rnd 1: ch 3 (Counts as 1 hdc), 9 hdc into the circle, sl st into the 1st hdc.
Rnd 2: ch 1, 2 hdc in each ch.
Rnd 3: ch 1, *2 hdc, 1 hdc, repeat from * till the end, join with sl st.
Rnd 4: ch 1, *2 hdc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, repeat from * till the end, join with sl st.
Rnd 5: ch 1, * 2 hdc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, repeat from * till the end, join with sl st.
Rnd 6: ch 1, 1 hdc in each ch till the end, join with sl st.
Rnd 7-15: Same as rnd 6.

Change to color B.
Rnd 16-23: same as rnd 6.

Change to color C
Rnd 24: same as rnd 6
Rnd 25: ch 1, *1hdc, ch 1, sk 1 ch, 1 hdc in the next ch, repeat from * till the end, join with sl st.
Rnd 26: ch 1, *1 hdc, 1 hdc in ch 1 space, repeat from * till the end, join with sl st.
Rnd 27: ch 1, 1 sc in each ch till the end, join with sl st and cut the yarn.

For string, make 75 chains with color A.
